Technical characteristics of aluminium



Standardisation

An appropriate framework of technical standards is the cornerstone for engineering and research activities, as well as the choices made by private individuals. Standardisation is an integral part of the economic, social and legal fabric of our society.

In the process of the creation of a single European market, national standards are progressively being replaced by new EU standards.

In future the only remaining sign of national identity will be the national cover sheets for example with the title DIN-EN for Germany.

alphametall has already implemented this change for the main semi-manufactured products in all divisions.
The standard - references for quotes and confirmations of orders will be changed over as the relevant European standards are released.

Deviations from the German DIN norms will be merely of a nominal type, with only minor adjustments being necessary or feasible.

In the following overview we have, at your convenience, placed the new DIN EN norms alongside the previous DIN norms.
